Is the B-SERIES still happening? The short answer is: Yes! But it will be different this year.
In an effort to act responsibly as the spread of COVID-19 intensifies, Columbia College Chicago has temporarily suspended in-person instruction, and cancelled all events beginning March 15, 2020 until further notice. This means the B-Series will not take place at The Dance Center on March 20 & 21, as we had planned. However, HIP-HOP DON’T STOP in a time of crisis. Hip-Hop creates opportunity out of challenge and builds creative solutions that move communities forward. And this is a time when we need to foster our sense of community more than ever! In the effort to do this we are working on ways to make sure the B-SERIES still happens. The activities will be primarily moving to a virtual platform. But we will be encouraging small gatherings, ways to participate virtually in battles, cyphers, fashion contests, performances, and more! So continue to train, get your gear together, and hold March 20-21st open for participation. STAY TUNED for more details coming soon . . . !

As the threat of the Corona virus gets worst and worst in the USA, I think we should still dance at home! Assad Invent Conley admin of the Whats Poppin facebook page reminded us with an awesome post. #QuaranTrain
Even though it’s disappointing events are canceling, I appreciate the Organizers who put the publics health before their own even. Here is a link to The World Health Organization telling you what the best thing to do is during this time to keep you and your family safe. https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public
